Teckels Animal Sanctuaries is a small registered charity totally dedicated to ending cruelty to animals in the UK and our sole focus is to provide a safe and loving sanctuary for dogs and cats who find themselves in need of help. 

Over the years we have rescued and rehomed thousands of animals.  We do not discriminate against old or sick animals and have a non-destruction policy.  Everything we do is focused on improving the lives of the wonderful animals who come into our care. 

Our creation of a safe and caring environment spreads beyond our four legged friends.  We are proud to work hard within the community by providing volunteering opportunities for a number of adults with special needs and learning difficulties. 

It costs us £20,000 per month to run our centre - £4,000 alone in vet’s bills.  We are lucky that in addition to our rescue facilities we also provide excellent boarding facilities for dogs and cats which contributes towards our running costs.  That said rehoming needs significantly outweigh the boarding income so we depend heavily on donations. 

Everything we do is focused on ensuring that each dog and cat that comes into our care, for however long that may be, and for whatever reason, is cared for, loved and made as comfortable as possible until we find a forever home that is perfect for them.
